    Solicitud de servicios de asesoria legal pro bono para organizaciones sin fines de lucro y comunitarias. HOW TO ACCESS OUR SERVICES Application process for organizations Process for organizations Organization must complete the Service Request Form . After consulting the Services Catalog , the Organization will indicate in the form the requested legal and/or organizational services. The Coalition will evaluate the documents and notify its determination to the Organization. Once the Service Request is accepted, an Agreement will be signed between the Organization and the Coalition to formalize the relationship between the parties. When this process is concluded, the Organization will be assigned by the Coalition to an attorney from its Pro- bono Network. From that point on the professional relationship will be established directly between the lawyer and the Organization, although the Coalition will monitor the handling of cases. *If you complete the pdf version of your Application, send it to info@coalicionlegalpr.com . Criteria for qualification of organizations Criteria for qualification of organizations Non-profit corporations, community-based organizations or similar entities, whose primary mission is to provide services to persons or communities with limited economic resources, or that are disadvantaged, marginalized or in some way affected by adverse socioeconomic situations, emergencies or natural disasters. Organization does not have sufficient financial resources to pay legal fees. The Coalition may request information regarding the economic status of the requesting organizations.     About Us The Legal Coalition for Puerto Rico is a pioneering organization whose mission is to promote and improve access and quality of legal services for non-profit organizations (NPOs) in Puerto Rico. We liaise between organizations and attorneys willing to provide free legal services to nonprofit organizations, community organizations, or similar entities. We also offer a group training program on legal topics of high interest to the Third Sector. The Coalition has been designated by the Office of Court Administration, as an authorized entity to certify the pro bono hours worked by attorneys who offer their services voluntarily through its Network of Lawyers, per the Regulations for the Assignment of Legal Aid Lawyers of Puerto Rico, approved by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, as amended. It was incorporated on April 23, 2018, as a non-profit organization and has tax exemptions under Section 1101.01 of the Internal Revenue Code of Puerto Rico and Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.     Formulario de Abogado Voluntario para dar asesoría legal a organizaciones sin fines de lucro y comunitarias. JOIN THE COALITION Process for attorneys Lawyers interested in participating in the Coalition Network must: Complete the Volunteer Lawyer Application . Once accepted into the Pro Bono Network, the attorney must sign an Agreement with the Coalition. Lawyer will be matched with an organization that has been evaluated by, and is referred to by the Coalition. A Letter of Agreement with the organization will be signed to formalize the relationship between the parties. If you complete the pdf version of your Form, send it to info@coalicionlegalpr.com . Criteria for the qualification of lawyers Lawyers duly admitted to practice the legal profession in Puerto Rico, who are not subject to any disciplinary action or suspension, in effect. Interested in offering their pro bono services to the non-profit organizations designated and referred by the Coalition. Those attorneys who want credit for their pro-bono work, as required by the Regulations for Court Appointed Lawyers in Puerto Rico, adopted by the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, on October 2018, as amended (201D.PR 261), shall comply with all the requirements and formalities stipulated therein.     About Us Empoderando el Cambio: Capacitación en Abogacía Efectiva y Cabildeo Permisible para Organizaciones Sin Fines de Lucro OBJETIVO DEL PROGRAMA El proyecto tiene como objetivo fortalecer las capacidades de las organizaciones sin fines de lucro para influir en políticas públicas mediante la capacitación en estrategias efectivas de abogacía, cumpliendo con las regulaciones legales y éticas vigentes. DESCRIPCIÓN "Empoderando el Cambio" es un programa de capacitación diseñado para proporcionar herramientas y conocimientos a las organizaciones sin fines de lucro, enfocándose en prácticas de abogacía éticas y legales. El programa busca aumentar la capacidad de estas organizaciones para defender sus causas, maximizar su impacto social y cumplir con las normativas aplicables en sus actividades. ¿A QUIÉN ESTÁ DIRIGIDO? Este programa está dirigido a gestores, líderes y empleados clave de organizaciones sin fines de lucro cuyas funciones incluyan abogacía y cabildeo. Las organizaciones beneficiarias pueden provenir de diversas áreas, tales como: Organizaciones Ambientales Organizaciones de Derechos Humanos Organizaciones de Desarrollo Comunitario Organizaciones de Salud Organizaciones Educativas Organizaciones Culturales y Artísticas DURACIÓN El programa consiste en 5 talleres de capacitación cubren los módulos de manera secuencial y estructurada. REQUISITOS Ser una organización sin fines de lucro registrada en Puerto Rico. Contar con exencion contributiva local o federal: Sección 1101.01 del Código de Rentas Internas de Puerto Rico Sección 501(c)(3) del Internal Revenue Code Tener una misión que implique la defensa de políticas públicas o cambio social. Contar con gestor comunitario o líderes comunitarios involucrados, un equipo clave dispuesto a participar activamente en todas las fases de la capacitación. BENEFICIOS PARA LOS PARTICIPANTES Acceso a herramientas y recursos prácticos para implementar estrategias de abogacía. Capacitación sobre regulaciones locales y federales que rigen el cabildeo y abogacía. Desarrollo de habilidades para construir coaliciones, elaborar mensajes persuasivos y manejar campañas. Aplicación práctica de conocimientos a través de talleres interactivos y simulaciones. IMPACTO ESPERADO Al finalizar el programa, los participantes estarán mejor equipados para desarrollar estrategias de abogacía efectivas y alineadas con la normativa vigente, lo que les permitirá aumentar su capacidad para influir en las políticas públicas que afectan a sus comunidades. Además, tendrán las herramientas necesarias para establecer alianzas con líderes políticos y comunitarios, generando así un cambio significativo y sostenible en sus áreas de intervención. FECHA LÍMITE La convocatoria está abierta para un total de 20 organizaciones sin fines de lucro. Las organizaciones interesadas podrá solicitar en o antes del domingo, 9 de febrero .
